- The Original Lavender Woman was created and published by the Chicago Lesbian Liberation in response to The Lavender Woman canceling the CLL’s one-page space over a controversial cartoon. In response, the Chicago Lesbian Liberation published two issues of The Original Lavender Woman in September and October 1974. Located in Assorted tabloid collection no. 40.
