Although the pseud., Dr. Jacobus X, was used by several authors, this book is believed to be the work of Louis Jacolliot, 1837-1890. Volume 3 is a set of plates showing black and white drawings of women from various parts of the world. No. 103 of 150 copies. Copy 2 is reprint of the Charles Carrington 2nd, enlarged edition, Paris, 1898 and is limited to 300 copies for America and to 200 copies for England and the continent. This is number 261.
