- Surimono, some with text in background. Heterosexual couples engaged in sexual foreplay and intercourse. Indoor and outdoor scenes. Flat, crowded compositions, bright colors (retouched on some?). Some details in silver. Nos. f and g from a single series, nos. h and i from a single series. Notes on mounting attribute prints to Kunisada and Toyokuni. All by Utagawa Kunisada, who used pseudonym Toyokuni III? (cf. R. Lane, Masters of the Japanese print (New York 1962), p. 288). Once bound together. Now mounted on white poster board.
