Papal bull on the canonization of Duke Leopold III of Austria, given in Rome at St. Peter's, in 1484/85, during Pope Innocent VIII's first year. Caption title; imprint from ISTC and Goff. Printer also given by ISTC as Printer of the 'Historie von S. Rochus' or Johannes Cassis. Proctor identifies Cassis as the printer. 34 lines; Type: 86 G. Hand-stamped woodcut initial I in capital space on p. [1]. "Some copies have a guide-letter in place of the capital, and the word 'nostri' in the last line misprinted 'nostro'; others have the signature A on Ia. See R.C. Hawkins, Catalogue of Books by the First Printers, 1910, nos. 505, 506"--BM 15th cent. In the Lilly Library copy the capital space has the letter I added, the word 'nostri' appears correctly in the last line, and the signature A appears on p. [1]. Signature: A⁴ Imposed in half-sheets, both sheets comprising this copy being watermarked. Four leaves in two separate sheets, unbound. From the collection of Gaston Rudoff, received with the L.C.
